Charlottetown - The location of my cousin's wedding on December 31st 2011. I love the downtown area and feel incredibly comfortable there despite having only been there a few times. If I ever won the lottery and was going to have a vacation home, I'd have it in Charlottetown. I wouldn't want to live there permanently only because in the long term I prefer the busyness of big cities.

Home - A decent-sized town in New Brunswick. We have one mall and around a dozen Tim Horton's. I haven't quite lived here all my life, but I have been here for as long as I can remember. I think my parents moved us here when I was only two or three. I intend to live here for most of my life, but definitely not all of it. I appreciate the place more when I've been away for a while.

Medicine Hat - The second half of my Katimavik placement: March 28 - April 23, 2012. In Southern Alberta, it is a very sunny and warm place to spend the spring. I didn't enjoy being there at the time, but I appreciated it as a place which I'd like to visit again one day.

Montreal - A major city that I visited for the first time with Wrecking Ball. We spent two nights there (one on the way to Toronto, and one on the return trip) back in March. My impression of the city is of confusion. The roads seem to make no sense. The street map looks more like scribbles, and there are highways and intersections all over the place. Also, they have an Ikea and a lot of francophones there, which should say a lot about why I love it.

Quebec City - I first visited Quebec in the eighth grade with my French Immersion class. That trip was the most exciting thing that had happened to me, until the summer immediately after when my family spent a month in Newfoundland. In April 2011, I spent a night there with Wrecking Ball. It was a wonderful night. We went back in March pf 2012 as well, and that night was even better. My favourite thing about Quebec City is Old Quebec. I also love to look at Chateau Frontenac at night. It may only be a fancy hotel, but when I look at it, it is like a palace (and indeed, "chateau" is "castle" in French).

Saguenay (Chicoutimi) - The first half of my Katimavik placement: January 4 - March 28, 2012. It's a secluded city towards the north of Quebec with lots of hills, which made it a bitch to walk around in but an excellent place to look around. My three months there were very enjoyable, and full of exciting new experiences like snoeshowing, donating blood, and working at a women's shelter.

Toronto - Another place I have only seen while with Wrecking Ball. We spent a few nights there in March, and another night in April. Everything about Toronto is HUGE, as far as I can tell. I think I'd like to live there for a while, someday. If only for the shopping and the transit system.

Wolfville - A small, lovely university town in Nova Scotia. Yet another place I have only seen with Wrecking Ball. I have to say that's something I love about him - the new things we see and do together. Before him I'd never gone hiking, I'd never crept around an abandoned house, I'd never seen an episode of Battlestar... I'm getting distracted here. Wolfville: a nice small town.
